President
Executive |
The President is responsible for the overall unity and consistency of the organization. They provide oversight, advice, and assistance to all aspects of the organization - from the executive level to the general volunteer & member level. Matters pertaining to the organization as a whole, collaboration with external groups, or communication with the administration generally involve the President in addition to other individuals.

Secretary
Executive |
The Secretary is responsible for facilitating administrative aspects of the organization including meetings. This individual also acts as a resource for executives and directors looking for information about anything relating to administrative matters, resources available to us as a club, or logistics including and beyond events. Room bookings go through the Secretary.
You may want to get in touch when you need to book rooms or get help with logistics, to get tips on best organizational practices, to find out when the executives may be meeting, or if google just doesn’t know.

VP Communications
Executive |
The Vice President of Communications is responsible for the image of the MSA. This includes supervising the website management and development and managing the various social media outlets of the MSA, including Facebook, Twitter and the email newsletter. They coordinate and assist with the activities of the directors within the communications portfolio, which are related to social media, website management, photography and publications. They respond to inquiries received by the MSA and forward these to the appropriate people. The VP of Communications also approves all press releases and advertisements.

VP External
Executive |
The role of VP External is to implement and strengthen our relationships with other student clubs within the University of Toronto, with fellow Muslim based groups and organizations, and with the broader community. The VP External acts as a representative for the MSA in external functions and portrays the MSA in a positive manner. They facilitate the work of the Academic Affairs and Outreach directorships, two that are expected to benefit the Muslim community within U of T and the broader communities we are a part of. Additionally, the VP External facilitates the work of Alumni Affairs and the maintenance of the MSA Alumni Society database. Community collaboration efforts are initiatives the VP External should be involved in and proactive about.

VP Finance
Executive |
The Vice President Finance is responsible for all financial matters of the club. They are the go-to person when considering expenses for all MSA endeavours. The VP Finance must be consulted in budget planning and is responsible for giving reimbursements. They oversee the management of the Accounts Director to create financial reports, Corporate Relations Director for finding sponsors and donors, and the Orphan Sponsorship Program via the OSP President.
You may want to get in touch when preparing the budget and before even thinking of making a purchase, and after making an approved purchase to get your reimbursement.

VP Internal
Executive |
The Vice President Internal oversees our quality religious education programming on campus such as halaqas, lectures, and seminars. They manage the Religious Education and Religious Services team which work to provide basic religious services on campus such as organizing Jumu'ah prayers, maintaining prayer spaces, and ensuring that Halal food options are available on campus.

VP Social Advancement

The Vice President Social Advancement oversees activities and projects that relate to social justice initiatives ranging from the local to the global scale through the Community Education and Action and the Global Education and Action Directors, respectively. They are educated on social justice issues and can direct you to resources to learn more, such as through the Humans of the Ummah team. They also help to manage the MSA’s efforts for sustainability on our campus with the Environmental Advocacy team. Their teams may connect with other organizations that do social justice or equity work on and off-campus.

VP Student Life
Executive |
The Vice President Student Life oversees committees that work to build social connections among members. These include work to put together smaller regular events by the Brothers’ Events and Sisters’ Events directorships, and less frequent major events that are coordinated by the Special Events director and committee. This role is a key part in building and strengthening our community on campus and creating an open space where everyone feels welcome.
