The MSA needs YOUR help to pull off a great Islam Awareness Week (IAW) on Feb 7-11, 2011 under the theme “Islam in North America”. IAW has been on our campus for over 30 years and this year we need your help (you don’t have to be a UofT St. George student to volunteer). The Quran states: “Let there arise out of you a group of people inviting to all that is good” (Quran 3:104), now ask yourself will you be one of that group? Here is how you can help:
- Spread the word!
- Tell your friends that IAW is coming and better yet bring them along to many of our events and booths.
- Make a class announcement! Don’t know what to say? Just say:
“Hey Class! There is a really cool week long event coming up entitled Islam in North America! It is on February 7-11 and it will answer anything you wanted to know about Muslims and Islam!”
Thats it! Tell your Religion class, your english class, your engineering class, even announce it in your first year Con Hall class! - Help us poster! Join us on our poster runs on Wed Jan. 26 and Feb. 02 at 5pm at the MSA office (21 Sussex Ave. Rm 505), we will give you everything you need! Can’t make it? Email outreach@uoftmsa.com to find out how we can get some posters in your hands to post around campus.
- Help out during the week!
- We need folks to man the booth during the day. If you have an hour or two or three to spare during that week please sign up to volunteer at our booth, using the form here or use the form below.
ALSO on Wed Feb 02, at 6pm in Bahen centre 025 we will have a Dawah Training Session and, back by popular demand, Sh. Muhammad Zahid will be teaching it! - If you want to help out at the events themselves please email outreach@uoftmsa.com and indicate you want to help out at the event.
